Allies of the Deputy-President tear-gassed at the London By-elections
Things were not looking today morning after allies of the deputy president were teargassed at London ward in Nkuru Elections as they were getting ready for the by-elections.
Some of the leaders present included Langata MP Nixon Korir who was the UDA(United Democratic Alliance) agent representing candidate Nzuki Anthony Wachira.
It is alleged that Korir was attacked by a group of young people at Milimani primary school polling station. This saw police lob teargas to the crowd a move that disrupted the o going elections.
During the chaos, Kori’s car was damaged. According to Korir, the violence was instigated by the police.
“Police came with goons and they started beating me up. I’m the chief agent in this station and I’ve not been allowed in. What are they planning? This is unfortunate, it is rigging, ” said Korir.
In Bungoma county, Nandi senator Samson Cherargei, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa and Nelson Koech have been arrested over alleged voter bribery ahead of the ongoing Kabuchai constituency by-election.

The three were also supporting an UDA candidate.
There has been drama today which has been linked to the rivalry between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
