ODM to announce its Presidential contenders today
Raila Odinga’s ODM party is today expected to announce its 2022 Presidential candidates contestants. This is the first step the party will be making in its search for a Presidential candidate ahead of next year’s general elections.
This will be the 4th time the party will be seeking Presidency although it is highly believed former prime minister Raila Odinga will get the final nod.
The news was broken yesterday by the party secretary-general Edwin Sifuna
“Tomorrow (Wednesday) at noon, we shall have released the names of all who have applied,” said Sifuna
Raila is expected to face off with Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho.
ODM has been having a three months search for its Presidential candidates in what is anticipated to rekindle the 2007 memories.
