143 Covid-19 Cases Confirmed In Kenya

Speaking from Afya house during the daily briefings, Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman on Saturday, May 30, confirmed that 143 more individuals had tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours after 2,959 samples were tested within the same period.

That raises the total number of Covid-19 individuals in the country stood at 1888.

CAS Aman said that all the cases are Kenyans, with the youngest being one month and the oldest being 88 years old.

In terms of distribution per county, the CS  announced that; Nairobi (86) Mombasa (25) Uasin Gishu (11) Kiambu (6) Busia (3) Kwale (3) Migori (3) Kajiado (1)  Kisii(1) Garissa (1) Isiolo(1) Makueni (1) Kericho (1)

Distribution in Nairobi County; Makadara had 45 cases, Kibra (21), Embakasi South (6) kasarani (5) Ruaraka (3) Westlands (2) Embakasi West (2) Lang’ata (1) and Starehe (1).

Unfortunately, a male patient has succumbed to the novel COVID-19, bringing the number of fatalities to 63.

They have however released 26 individuals from hospitals after recovering bringing the total number of those who had recovered to 464.
