Kirinyaga MCAs Plead With Uhuru And Raila, Kneel In The Streets Over Waiguru’s Ouster
Kirinyaga MCAs are doing everything they can to ensure that their estranged governor Anne Waiguru is ousted.
On Friday, 12th June, the MCAs were seen in a since viral video kneeling in the streets as their pleaded President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to oversee that Waiguru is indeed ousted.
They were on their knees and used a melodious song to deliver their message to the two.
“Woi, woi, Uhuru/Raila tunaomba usituangushe,” went the song.
23 out of the 33 MCAs in the county voted for Waiguru’s removal on allegations of gross misconduct and abuse of office, while only six abstained.
The governor, Waiguru had filed a case challenging the impeachment motion but Justice Weldon Korir declined to overturn it.
