9 former Kisumu county executive committee members have been awarded Ksh 20 million by the high court for wrongful termination.
The 9 will be receiving amount ranging between one and three million each. This was after justice Nderi ruled they had proved their claims for the payment of gratuity.
According to a report by Capital FM, the nine are Vincent Kodera, Elizabeth Ominde, George Onganya, Barrack Otieno, Jennifer Kere, Rose Kisia, Johnson Owour, Rodha Obada and Micheal Onyango.
All the nine were working under former governor’s Governor Jack Ranguma’s administration but were fired midway
The judge also ruled in favor of Kisia who is to be paid Ksh 1.6 million in salary arrears. Former CECM has welcomed the idea but blamed the court for low calculation on the claims.
