Danny Baker is a BBC broadcaster, well he was, but he is not anymore. He has been fired by BBC over a weird comment that he made against the newly born royal baby. As earlier reported, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry invited their baby boy to the world three days ago. They can’t be happier. They said that they are very happy to have their little bundle of joy in their arms.
They, later on, showed us the beautiful face of their baby boy 2 days after he was born. The BBC broadcaster in the now-deleted tweet, which has been circulated on social media, showed an image of a couple holding hands with a chimpanzee dressed in clothes with the caption: “Royal Baby leaves the hospital”.
To many, this comment was a mockery to Meghan’s racial heritage. BBC broke the news that they were letting him go.
This was a serious error of judgement.”
The corporation added that Mr Baker’s tweet “goes against the values we as a station aim to embody.
“Danny’s a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us.”
He later posted a tweet apologizing,
“Sorry, my gag pic of the little fella in the posh outfit has whipped some up. Never occurred to me because, well, mind not diseased.
“Soon as those good enough to point out its possible connotations got in touch, down it came. And that’s it.”
“No mate. Gag pic. Posh baby chimp. Alerted to circs. Appalled. Deleted. Apologised.”
