174 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Kenya pushing the total number of national cases to 1618. Talking while in Kiambu during the daily coronavirus update, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said that 2,831 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The age gap in today’s cases ranges from a 1-year-old and 87 years.
Among the new cases, 90 were from Nairobi, 41 from Mombasa, Kiambu 3, Nyeri 2, Uasin Gishu 2.
In Nairobi, which remains to be the most affected County, Kibra recorded 35 cases, Langata 15, Makandara 8 and so on
All the new cases were Kenyans.
87 of today’s cases were men while 60 were women.
On a lighter note, 13 people have been discharged after a full recovery bringing the total number of recoveries to 421.
Unfortunately, we have lost 3 people, 1 in Thika and 2 Mombasa. Both had underlying conditions.
