Eliud Kipchoge Awards His Pacemakers
On his way to breaking a record, 34-year-old marathoner Eliud Kipchoge had pacemakers who were strategically introduced into the race to provide the supporting cast. The pacemakers ran in groups of seven, with five of them ahead of Kipchoge in a ‘V’ formation, and two behind him to dictate the pace and also protect him from the wind.
It wouldn’t be nice if he enjoyed his victory without acknowledging his pacemakers. Being the nice and humble guy that he is, Eliud has rewarded all his 41 pacemakers with personalized trophies.
