Ethiopia plane crash: This plane crash happened this past weekend. The crash involved a Nairobi-bound Boeing taking off from Adis Ababa, killing all 157 people on board. The victims included Eight crew members and 149 passengers from 35 countries who all perished when Flight ET 302 ploughed into a field near Tulu Fara village outside the town of Bishoftu, some 60 kilometres (40 miles) southeast of Addis Ababa.

Family and friends of all the 157 victims have been in mourning ever since. The accident was very sudden and losing a loved one in such a sudden way must have really affected them.

Kenya suffered the greatest fatalities, 32. Last evening, Kenyans flew to Addis Ababa to identify the bodies of their loved ones. They were received by Transport PS Esther Koimett and embassy staff, led by ambassador Catherine Mwangi. They booked into hotels in the Ethiopian capital.

“Concerning families and relatives who’d like to travel, we’re ready to assist to take them to Addis, give them accommodation, then constant updates will be given from the other side,” The airline’s manager in charge of Kenyan operations, Yilma Gobena told the media.
