I Was Driving a Lexus at 23. I Bought a Range Rover at 26

Oscar Sudi defends his property

Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi spent the better part of his day at the DCI head-quarters on Tuesday 13th October. Sudi has been involved in a Ksh 150 million National Health Insurance Fund(NHIF) scandal.

There are claims that the MP purchased his two new luxurious cars from the money he had grilled from the insurance fund.

Sudi has confirmed through his social media pages of having been interrogated over the irregular use of funds.

The vocal sudi has refuted the claims saying that the money he used to buy his cars with was obtained from selling a piece of land.

‘I have been grilled in DCI offices from 6.00am in the morning until now 5.00pm. I have been questioned about a transaction where I sold my property in Eldoret town to a company that wanted to build a hospital on the said land”

“The transaction between me and the said company was completed after I received the money. They are now alleging that the money was wired from NHIF through the company to me. As a willing seller, I cannot smell the source of money that I received,” Sudi argued.

According to Sudi, he has been driving luxurious cars from as early as 23 years. He bought his first lexus at 23 and his first range rover at 26.

“When I was 23 years old, I was driving a Lexus. When I was 26 years old, I bought my first Range Rover. This is my fourth Range Rover since then. When a poor child gets something…some people claim they stole it but but when the rich gets it on the other hand…it belongs to his father and it’s theirs. They should leave me alone,” read his facebook post.

Lately, sudi has been in and out of courts over some hate speech allegations. He was recently released on a cash bail of 500k or 1 million bond.
