Jacque Maribe opens up about her story
Media personality Jacque Maribe shared her touching story on how she suffered two miscarriages before she gave birth to her son.
Jacque is a mother to one son together with comedian Erick Omondi.
She was speaking during an interview with True Love CEO Caroline Mandy.
She narrated how scared she was since it was her first pregnancy. She then tried getting a baby again and had yet another miscarriage.
”I had almost gotten a baby before but i suffered a miscarriage. It was tough at the time because it was so new to me. Then we tried again, suffered a second miscarriage and didn’t know what was going on,” she narrated
She was later diagnosed with a septum uterus and had to undergo surgery. Luck for her, the diagnosis was made early enough.
”Our doctor said we had to probe further, they then discovered i had this thing called septum and mine had a wall between. The problem was the baby would either be planted on one side or the other. As they grow, the wall doesn’t move and it causes a miscarriage
”We were lucky we found out earlier so i was told i had to undergo surgery to get rid of it and give ourselves a period of and wait and now the baby would have at-least enough space to carry all the way to maybe thirty something weeks and don’t have to get to 40. I remember i panicked and said i was not gonna do this. It took a while, can’t remember how many years and every day i used to pray and ask God ‘What is too hard for you, i don’t have to have this surgery if you want you can make this thing elastic by whatever miracle”
She later realized that she was pregnant in 2013 while in South Africa for an assignment. She hadn’t had the surgery yet. She added that her son is a miracle baby.
She named her son Zahari meaning God has remembered me.
