The past week has been a tough one on most African American people living in European countries, especially the United States. This was after the death of a black man, George Floyd who died in the arms of police officers despite pleading mercy saying that he wasn’t breathing.
The death of George Floyd opened up other wounds and African American people have been protesting ever since.
A video of a Kenyan man joining and leading protests in the United States has been shared multiple times online. This video stood out since the bishop is heard leading protests in Swahili. He was heard teaching the people how to say Haki Yetu.
He shared lengthy videos on his Facebook page which showed him and other protesters shouting at the top of their voices calling for justice.
These protests are happening in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic. However, many people have decided to put that aside to focus on the well being of black lives.
