Mombasa County Assembly Closed Ater 3 MCA’s Test Positive For Covid-19

Mombasa county assembly has had to suspend its sitting for two weeks after three members of the county assembly tested positive for corona virus.

The MCA’s were tested after one of the members was said to have contracted the virus.

The incident was confirmed by Mombasa assembly deputy speaker Fadhili Makarani stating that the formal announcement will be made by the speaker before the end of the day.

All the MCA’s are expected to undergo self isolation as the house is fumigated.

Corona Virus cases in Mombasa county are continuing to rise everyday, creating an alarm.

People have been advised to continue sanitizing, washing their hands, maintaining social distance and putting on their face masks.

It has been noted that many people across the country have neglected the measures that the ministry of health have put across to curb the spread, resulting to the rising of the curve in the number of infections.
