According to Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, Mungiki has resurfaced.
The dreaded Mungiki are back and they are exploiting traders in Central Kenya. He said that the group has been terrorizing people and making business more difficult in the area.
He also said that they were asking people to pay for their own protection.
“Mungiki have returned and they are causing fear among the traders. They should be tamed,” Kibicho stated.
“The Mungiki are a real menace and they should be dealt with ruthlessly. Their criminal activities will not be tolerated in this region or any other part of the country,” Kibicho stated.
