Malik Heights: Probe reveals motor vehicles worth KSh 600 million burnt in mysterious night inferno

Investigation into the inferno that broke out at Malik Heights building along Ngong Road on the night of Monday, June 3, has revealed motor vehicles worth KSh 600 million were badly damaged by the fire. It was established a total of about 78 mostly high-end vehicles, which were reduced into mere shells, belonged to Alhusnain Motors Limited.

It confirmed there were no casualties following the devastating fire incident. The inferno broke out at around 8pm on Monday after pockets of explosions were heard coming from the nine-storey business centre according to eye witnesses.

Besides the top of the range cars destroyed by the night blaze, bazaars, offices, restaurants and several other commercial premises within the building were also badly damaged. Investigators indicated the exact cause of the fire suspected to have started from the ground floor remained unclear

Malik Heights has been open since 2017 and houses major business premises worth several millions of shillings in investment.
