Govi of Machachari opens up on their acting career
Govi, the young boy from Machachari is already grown up now. The popular family show used to air on Citizen Tv and was a storyline about the normal life of Kids from the ghetto and those from rich families.
Have you ever asked yourself where these kids went? Well, Govi has given us the answers. He feels that they were used and later dumped.
The young, a complaint of the very same faces on Tv in every Kenyan movie, something that has hindered growth, creativity, and the introduction of fresh minds in the industry.
Govi stated that there are some ‘cartels’ in the industry who are very entitled and fear competition.

According to Govi, supporting Kenyan films makes no sense so long as the cartels are present and in control. He added that every talented Kenyan should be given the chance to audition

Choosing actors behind closed doors is what has resulted to stagnation in the industry.
”Give people a chance to audition because it is their right..don’t do it behind closed doors because the industry will never grow,” he concluded
