Why I Stabbed My JKIA Engineer Boyfriend 11 Times, City Woman Narrates.

Vigilance Shighi, A Nairobi woman hit the news for all the wrong reasons after stabbing, Edward Okello, her boyfriend 11 times following a domestic scuffle at home.

The lady is said to have killed her boyfriend who succumbed to the injuries not so long after the stabbing. The incident happened in Nairobi’s Umoja II Estate at around 8:30 p.m with Okello being rushed to the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he succumbed to the stab wounds.

“The suspect of the murder, who is the girlfriend, was identified by the neighbours and immediately arrested. The team proceeded to the residence at Umoja 2 and found a pool of blood on the sitting room. A kitchen knife was recovered at the scene,” part of the police statement read.

Murder is a very touchy subject and the reasons behind it are always sceptical whether logic or not as no one deserved to be killed like that. In a video that has soon gone viral where the lady as being questioned as to why she ended up stabbing her boyfriend, someone that she loved, so many times to an extent of killing him, the lady has explained what really went down.

According to the video, the lady seemed to have been acting under pressure and anger as she tried to defend herself from the man who was allegedly beating her up. She said that she knew that they were fighting but that is almost all that she remembers. The man was allegedly beating her so she did what she had to do.

“I don’t know what happened, amongst the fighting and the push and pull, we asked each other what’s not happening.

“I don’t know anything. If I have to be jailed because he is the one who is hurt, it’s okay. He beat me repeatedly, a woman will take anything to defend herself, I took a cup and threw it at him.

“As we were throwing stuff at each other…let me tell you the truth I swear before God I don’t know what happened next, all I know is that he beat me.

“I don’t know what happened I cook for him every day and do everything for him. I don’t know, the knife was just there, all I know is that we were fighting,” said the woman.

Since the coronavirus pandemic hit the world, it was feared that men and women living in homes prone to domestic violence were going to have it rough. This is especially because most people are staying home aiming at being safe from the virus. This means that most people are having to stay home with their violators.

Was this a murder or was it just self-defence?
